Ingredients

  • 2 lb top sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 large carrots, peeled and shredded
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1½ lb broccoli crowns, cut into small florets

Instructions

  1. Toss steak, cornstarch, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper in a zip-top plastic bag; let stand 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet (or wok) over medium heat; add garlic. Sauté 1 minute or until fragrant; increase heat to medium-high. Add beef in batches; stir-fry 6 minutes or until browned. Add carrots, broth, and broccoli; cover and cook 5 minutes or until sauce thickens and broccoli is tender.
