Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 3 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Pour this sauce into the skillet with the cooked beef and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  3. While the beef mixture is simmering, cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and add the cooked noodles to the beef mixture, tossing to coat the noodles in the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the noodles for an added touch of freshness. Serve hot.
