Caramel-Nut Sweet Rolls

Ingredients

Topping:
  • ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Generously grease a 13″ x 9″ pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, ½ cup butter, and corn syrup. Drop the mixture by spoonfuls into the greased pan; spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a 20″ x 12″ rectangle. Spread with 2 tbsp butter.
  4. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; mix well. Sprinkle over the dough. Starting with the 20-inch side, roll up in a jelly-roll fashion; pinch edges firmly to seal the seams. Cut into twenty 1-inch slices; place cut side down in the prepared pan.
  5. Cover; let rise in a warm place (80–85°F) until light and doubled in size, 35–45 minutes.
  6. Heat oven to 375°F
  7. Uncover dough. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool in pan for 1 minute; invert onto a wire rack.
  8. Serve warm.
